Growing as an economy
In the game Civilizations IV there are many differnt ways one can view the economy. My approach to the economic status of my empire was to produce alot of agriculture. Colander takes chapter two and discusses the key concepts of trade and regulation of the market. He categorizes the economy by saying that there are three main coordination problems. These problems are deciding what and how much to produce, how to produce it, and for whom to produce it for. The technique I used in my computer game was that I would produce an abundance of agriculture by buidling mulitple farms near different rivers and therefore try to increase the production year after year, using the water supply to benefit me during dry seasons. My goal is produce a great abundance of wheat etc. therefore I can output this product to other empires and regulate the opportunity costs and have a stadn on the fixed price. THe main production in the Mangolian empire will be agriculture. It's greatest sense of wealth will come from outputting numerous amounts of these materials and will be very prosperous for the empire.

Economic production
Heilbroner states that "a socirty must organize a system to assure the production of enough goods and services for its own servival and arrange the distribution of the fuits of its production so that more production can take place." (p.4) In my mangolian society in the Civilization game I am having trouble making trades with other emperors and groups. My own mangolian empire is flourishing because of the agricultural base that i have been establishing along the way. My mentality was that the stronger societies have produce and materials to export therefore more tribes and other socities will want to trade for goods they lack on the production line. Although my society is very young it looks very promising. The economic history that it is continuiously building nad the strong foundation will help with the production and distribution of the society. As a society begins to establish itself in one particular trade other societies begin to depend on their production to keep their own tribe alive. They feel that they do not need to produce that material or agricultural produce becasue they can just trade or barder for it. When one state or tribe or society owns the complete production of a certain good then they get to control the fluctuation of the price and the supply and demand numbers. I believe that it is necessary for a community to establish many different markets while also excelling in one particuliar field.
